Let me guess
You’ve already studied Grade 5 theory, maybe more than once — but it still doesn’t feel solid. You know some of the rules, yet exam questions seem to twist them in ways you didn’t expect.
You spend a lot of time revising, but it feels scattered. One topic makes sense on its own, then another appears and suddenly everything feels disconnected.
You keep getting stuck on the same areas — terms and signs, transposition, keys, chords, rhythms — and you’re never quite sure why your answers are wrong.
You have dismissed music theory for too long and now you need to take the exam as soon as possible.
Know this:
That's completely normal. Many students struggle with music theory, until things suddenly"click" and start making sense.

If you need a quick way of preparing for Grade 5 Theory, you:
✅ already have some basic music theory knowledge
✅ are preparing for ABRSM Grade 5 Theory
✅ want to understand music better, not just pass an exam

Hello, my name is Rossella,
and I am your Italian music teacher.
I started learning piano when I was a child and completed the Conservatoire before finishing school. I have an undergraduate, masters and PhD degree in music and have dedicated my entire life to performing, teaching and examining music and music theory.
25 years after my very first music lesson, I am still passionate about giving music lovers the opportunity to explore and deeply understand the amazing world of music. Making people feel creative and able to appreciate how expressive and original music can be is one of my biggest goals. But most of all, I like to make music theory and musical knowledge accessible to everyone.
I hope you join the Virtuoso community and become aware that learning is fun and rewarding.
See you on the course!
